Kathmandu, Dec 2: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has attended an election campaign today seeking votes for CPN (UML) senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal in Kathmandu Constituency-2.
The Maoist Chairman cut his election campaign short in Chitwan and sought votes for leader Nepal from the voters in Pepsicola area by joining a door-to-door campaign in the capital city.
Chairman Dahal and leader Nepal continued their door-to-door campaigns for two hours in the area where the former prime ministers received warm welcome from the local residents.
Addressing a corner assembly after the campaign, the Maoist Centre Chairman expressed pleasure for getting chance to seek votes from the voters in leader Nepal’s constituency adding that he could not manage time before despite his will.
Prachanda also appealed to the people to cast their votes for the candidate of left alliance. “Madhav Nepal is required for Nepal’s politics including for this constituency. You have got such a figure as the candidate. This is also your pride,” he added seeking vote for Nepal.
While addressing the event, leader Nepal praised Prachanda terming him as a risk taker for progressive steps and expressed happiness towards Prachanda’s presence during the election campaign. “We are symbols of two distinct movements but now we have come together,” Nepal said.
